What is Dire Wolf?
The Dire Wolf is the most common carnivore in the La Brea fossil record on the official page, and the game presents it as a pack hunter. The primary attack is a quick bite. The secondary attack latches onto a Western Horse or Ancient Bison, slowing the sprint and bleeding them until they buck you off. That latch does not open a ring minigame for the wolf. More latched wolves make the prey's minigame faster. You cannot latch a Smilodon or another wolf, but a secondary bite still causes bleed. Wolves gain more food from small AI than Smilodons do.

How do you use Dire Wolf?
Chase with a group, latch large herbivores, and use rabbits, pronghorns, and peccaries when a herd is too alert. Claim territory with the carnivore bind if you want the hex income. Kill a Peccary on this animal to work toward Smilodon.
